Page Hit Counters
A page hit counter is a small program which registers each time your Web page is visited (or "hit").
This program resides on the Business Internet Web Site Hosting server, but you have to add some
special HTML to your Web page if you want to use it.
We have compiled several counters on this Web page for you to copy and use on your own Web page. You
can put your counter anywhere you want on your Web page.
These counters can only be used by Web pages in the Business Internet Web Site Hosting service.
Instructions:
For each counter, the corresponding HTML appears to the right of the image. Simply decide which
counter image you'd like to use on your own Web page, then use your mouse to copy the corresonding
code at the right and then paste it into your own HTML document, and finally, change the
"name.dat" part of the code by replacing "name" with your Business Internet
e-mail prefix (e.g. the "j.smith" part of j.smith@aibn.com). This enables the server to keep the
record of your page hits separate from that of other members. Only use one counter in your Web site.
Note:
Because the "gif" files for each counter image reside on the Business Internet Webspace
server, you will see the counter images only while you're connected to the Business Internet service.
When you're working on your HTML Web page document on your hard drive, and checking
it using your browser, but are not connected to the Business Internet service, you will not be
able to see the images.
