Sometimes words on a page are underlined or appear in a different colour than the surrounding text. When you point and click on such text, you will see another page appear in your browser window. Underlined (or coloured) words are called 'links' because they link you to another page on the Web. When you point at a link with your mouse, the familiar mouse pointer turns into a hand.
Once you have clicked on a link, you will notice that its colour changes (usually from blue to purple). This is to remind you that you have already clicked on that link.
